Baan Software builds mobile and web applications. This policy explains what happens to personal data in connection with this website, baansoftware.com.

The short version

This website does not collect anything about you. There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, no accounts and no forms. Nothing you do here is recorded by us.

Technical information from hosting

The site is served by a hosting and content delivery provider. As part of delivering any website, that provider processes technical information such as your IP address, the approximate region it maps to, your browser type and the pages requested. This is necessary to send you the page and to protect the site from abuse. We do not use this information to identify or profile you, and we do not combine it with anything else.

If you email us

The contact link on this site opens your own email application. If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us. We keep that message so we can reply and, where relevant, to keep a record of our dealings with you. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not send marketing.

Our applications

The apps we publish are separate from this website and handle data differently. Each one has its own privacy policy, available from its own website or its App Store or Google Play listing. This policy does not cover them.

Links to other sites

This site links to our product websites and to the App Store and Google Play. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, not this one.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We disclose it only where the law requires it, or to service providers who host our site and email on our behalf and act on our instructions.

Keeping it

We keep email correspondence for as long as it is useful for the matter you contacted us about, and for as long as we are required to for legal or accounting reasons. After that we delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to how we use it. Since the only personal data we are likely to hold is an email you sent us, this is usually straightforward. Write to info@baansoftware.com and we will deal with it. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them here. Some of our apps are made for children; those apps have their own policies, which set out the stricter rules that apply to them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
